Forestech Equipment Ltd. is an equipment brokerage firm specializing in the disposal of used, highlead logging and log road-building equipment commonly used by coastal logging contractors in British Columbia, Alaska, Washington, Oregon and northern California. The company was established in 1985 by Jon Lloyd and is proud to celebrate its 20th year of operations in 2005, offering equipment disposal, brokerage and consulting services to the logging community on the north west coast of North America.
Forestech has continued to grow over the years because of its unique ability to assist clients in either the purchase or disposal of used logging equipment such as swing yarders, tower yarders, hydraulic or cable log loaders, roadbuilders, feller bunchers, wheel loaders, off-highway logging trucks and trailers. Forestech is constantly monitoring the availability, replacement cost and sale history of logging equipment in order to provide logging contractors with complete market information. Considerable time is devoted to the monitoring of changes in government regulations, the review of log market trends and the assessment of timber harvesting techniques so that that Forestech remains ahead of the curve in providing for clients’ future used logging equipment needs.
In 2003, Tim Lloyd joined the company in order to consolidate operations on Vancouver Island, BC. Tim brings solid business skills and excellent equipment knowledge to Forestech’s operations. He is pleased to offer our services to Vancouver Island logging contractors.
Forestech Equipment is based in Vancouver with an office on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Forestech proudly serves BC (Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, North Coast, Whistler, Pemberton, and the Okanagan) as well as Alaska, Washington, Oregon and northern California in the United States.
